I've yet to drive a 300 with a hybrid turbo or upgraded turbo that actually drives well across the range. Easy to tune for certain applications - low down grunt or mid range, or high range. I think the standard set up works the best for real world applications

Hi Guys --. New member, so apologies if this topic has already been done to death. The turbo on my 160k miles 300 has just started making an unfamiliar screeching noise at higher rpm and is passing what seems an excessive amount of oil into the inlet tract, so I'm guessing it's getting to the end of the line. Question is, do I fit a new OE one As Daz says, seal on spindle. Easy enough to do in situ. Other common-ish place is the main O ring that seal rotor head to pump body. Where the injector lines enter the pump body you will see they screw into a 5" square 'plate' for want of a better discription. This is about 1.5" thick and is joined to the pump body. .
